About James
Performer, composer and arranger James Manson has over 35 years of experience in the music business.
Known for his lush arrangements, deep understanding of harmony and meticulous attention to detail, James is highly regarded as a versatile and creative arranger and composer. From his time at the Royal Northern College of Music where he wrote his first children's opera, James has since produced a diverse portfolio of works for string ensemble, chamber orchestra, symphony orchestra and numerous projects for music education in schools. Working with the Northern Chamber Orchestra, Scottish Ensemble, Manchester Camerata and Ensemble 360, James’ works have been recorded for Linn Records and featured on live broadcasts, notably his work "Meeting at Nisqueunia" for BBC Radio 3.
